It was once thought the only people to receive the sacrament of Anointing were those terminally ill or as last rights. However, the Catholic Faith has put more emphasis on healing and recognizes that people suffering from illness or pain can benefit by receiving the sacrament as well.
At St. Boniface, we celebrate Anointing of the Sick as a community three times a year (June, Oct, and Feb) after 4:30p.m Mass on Saturday and 8:30a.m. Mass on Sunday (please watch bulletin for dates). However, those having surgery, in the hospital or hospice, or the homebound can receive the sacrament upon availability of the parish priest simply by contacting the parish 262-628-2040.
