FF Retreats

In the 8th grade, teens begin to be accountable for their spiritual growth as part of their Catholic commitment. Of course their spiritual growth is a lifelong endeavor!

The Faith Formation program requires that teens accumulate 6 retreats:

  • 6, 7 and 8th graders should accumulate 1 retreat
  • freshman should accumulate 1 retreat
  • sophomores should accumulate 1 retreat
  • juniors should accumulate 1 retreat.

The program requires that 1 retreat each year be through the parish:

  • 6, 7, and 8th graders attend a Net Retreat
    • Wednesday, December 5, at St. Peters in Slinger, 4:30-8:30 p.m.
    • Friday, January 25, at St. Mary of the Hill, 4:30-9:30 p.m.

You must register for the Net Retreats online at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904054cadac29aa8-middle3

  • Freshmen and Sophomores attend the St. John Bosco Youth Day at Holy Hill on October 6, 2018 (http://holyhill.com)     Permission Slip or one of two Net Retreats

If you are unsure about an activity, talk to a Faith Formation staff person. The biggest criteria is taking time to open yourself to an experience of God’s transforming love.

Some of the retreats offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation. If it's been a while, check out How To Go To Confession and the Examination of Conscience for High School Youth. You can print out the Act of Contrition and bring it with you! Retreats also sometimes include praying the Rosary. To review the prayers and mysteries, see How To Pray The Rosary. All of the above can also be found on the App Laudate, available for free on iOS, Android, or Windows.
