School Council and Red Folder Sunday
The School Council holds a meeting for new parents to explain the tuition schedule and major fundraisers prior to the start of the school year. Each school year commences with "Red Folder Sunday" and is hosted by the School Council in the middle of August following Sunday's 10 a.m. mass. "Red Folders" are one vehicle for communication from the principal, the school office, staff and various volunteer groups. The folders are sent home Fridays with the youngest student in the family. "Red Folder Sunday" is another great opportunity to meet fellow St. Boniface School families and learn more about school before the first day.
Mentor Families
After each new family registers a child at St. Boniface Catholic School, the family is paired with a "mentor family" who may have a child in the same grade. This "mentor family" is available to answer any questions you may have.
Buddy Program
All students in K4 through 3th grade are assigned an older "buddy" from 4th through 8th grade at the beginning of the school year. These "buddies" meet together for various activities throughout the year. "Buddies" also sit together each week during mass.
Spirit Groups
Spirit groups are a way to provide valuable leadership experiences for the 8th graders while promoting creativity and collaboration among students of all age levels. These team-building activities are hosted monthly and coordinated by teachers. Spirit groups consist of 15-18 students from multiple grades and one teacher.
Family Activities
One function of the St. Boniface School Council is to host events during the year which are primarily friend-raising activities. These events are designed as opportunities for St. Boniface School families to gather and build friendships. Past events have included: "A Sweet Start", family dances, spaghetti dinner, pancake breakfast, Trivia Night (for parents only) and a year-end picnic (hosted on the last day of school and open to everyone in the family). Another great way to meet families is at the parish hosted Fall Festival on Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day week-end.
Staff
The office staff, principal and pastor are always available to answer questions. During the summer, the school office is not staffed daily, but messages and mail are checked and returned at least once per week.
