The sacrament of Marriage is not just planning a wedding. It is planning and preparing for the union of two individuals, acknowledging God's unconditional love and presence in their relationship.
Couples are required to go through a marriage preparation process which includes:
-
FOCCUS inventory
-
Meeting with a parish FOCCUS couple
-
Meetings with the Pastor of St. Boniface and with the Music Minister
-
Enrichment day or weekend sponsored through the Archdiocese.
This preparation should be concluded no later than one month prior to the date of the wedding.
In accordance with the Wisconsin Catholic Council, couples are required to contact the parish a minimum of 6 months prior to the anticipated wedding date. Because of the extensiveness of the preparation for the sacrament in respect to the preparations of a wedding, we at St. Boniface suggest contacting our Pastor sooner if possible.
At least one member of the couple must be a registered member of the parish for at least 6 months. When inquiring about a date for your wedding, please keep in mind the sacrament of Marriage is not celebrated over Labor Day weekend due to our Fall Festival and also during the season of Lent.
