Congratulations to St. Boniface Alumni, Joey Peckenpaugh for receiving his Eagle Scout award this past weekend in an Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony. Joey attends Marquette High School and is a member of the Forensics Team there. While at Marquette, he has served as a tutor for the St. Rose youth tutoring program, a recreational aide with the elderly at Howard’s Village Assisted Living Facility, and a volunteer with Special Olympic Bowling. He also works for PeopleServe as an overnight caregiver for people with developmental disabilities. Through Scouts, he has put in many hours with the St. Boniface Food Pantry, Menomonee River cleanup, memorial flags on veteran’s graves, and other Eagle Scout’s projects. Joey chose the American Legion Post #1 as the beneficiary of his Eagle Scout Project. Putting in over 300 hours of work, Joey provided a much needed landscaping transformation for the American Legion prior to The Moving Wall’s visit to Germantown.
