Congratulations to our 2018 Graduating DARE class! Special thanks to Det. Sgt. Schmitt for her time and dedication to supporting our DARE program. The Germantown Police Department and St. Boniface continue to work hand in hand to educate our students about the dangers of peer pressure , bullyin, drugs, and alcohol through the DARE program.

Congratulations to the St. Boniface 8th Grade Boys Basketball team on their invitation to the 60th Annual Padre Serra Invitational Basketball Tournament to be held at Mount Mary University in March. The team is comprised of St. Boniface School students, as well as Faith Formation program students. St. Boniface was one of 36 teams from the Milwaukee Archdiocese invited to compete in the tournament.
***The team plays its first round game against Messmer-St. Mary at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 3rd at Mount Mary University’s Bloechl Center (2929 N. 92nd Street, Milwaukee). Please come out and support the team!!

K3 students made spooky bats out of bow tie pasta and then dyed them black. They also dyed rice orange and learned about mixing colors. We practiced sharing and patience skills during the lesson as well.

Tuesday, February 28th, is "Fat Tuesday!" We will celebrate Mardi Gras at school with a Cake Walk in the afternoon. Bring in $1 for Flavia and wear Mardi Gras colors to school!

In Alumni News…
Congratulations to St. Boniface Alumni, Joey Peckenpaugh for receiving his Eagle Scout award this past weekend in an Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony. Joey attends Marquette High School and is a member of the Forensics Team there. While at Marquette, he has served as a tutor for the St. Rose youth tutoring program, a recreational aide with the elderly at Howard’s Village Assisted Living Facility, and a volunteer with Special Olympic Bowling. He also works for PeopleServe as an overnight caregiver for people with developmental disabilities. Through Scouts, he has put in many hours with the St. Boniface Food Pantry, Menomonee River cleanup, memorial flags on veteran’s graves, and other Eagle Scout’s projects. Joey chose the American Legion Post #1 as the beneficiary of his Eagle Scout Project. Putting in over 300 hours of work, Joey provided a much needed landscaping transformation for the American Legion prior to The Moving Wall’s visit to Germantown. Joey, your selfless service is greatly appreciated by those whose lives you have touched. We are proud to call you one of our own!

Congratulations to our eighth grade basketball team! They have been invited to participate in the 59th Annual Padre Serra Tournament. The Padre Serra Tournament will be held at the Mount Mary University, located at 2929 North 92nd Street, Milwaukee, WI 53222, March 2nd through March 19th, 2017. We will have a PEP RALLY on Friday 3/3, 1:30pm, in Boniface Hall. Let's cheer on our boys to victory!
Eric was our Rock, Paper, Scissors Champion this year! The competition was fierce, but friendly and fun for all! Thanks to Mrs. Beckers and the 5th grade class for organizing this great annual event!
Family Movie Night is THIS FRIDAY, 6:30-8:30pm in Ghana Hall. We will be seeing "Finding Dory!" Come in your PJ's, bring a blanket and a pillow, and donations for the Food Pantry. Bring in 5 items and earn an Out of Uniform Pass. We will have snacks and raffle prizes too so you won't want to miss it!

Trunk or Treat is almost here! Are you ready for the fun to begin on Friday???? Get your costumes out, get your decorations together for your trunk, and get out the CANDY! Parents and parish members alike are invited to come at 12:45pm to decorate trunks. Students will parade through the parking lot at 1:30!

PRINCIPAL FOR THE DAY:
Principal Kyra enjoyed her day and did a fantastic job! We all got to wear pajamas for the day, we all had extra recess, we had a surprise fire drill, we spoke in Spanish for 15 minutes, had an extra 15 minutes of Social Studies, we high-fived our neighbors and also gave our neighbor a hug. Thank you Principal Kyra for making Thursday the best day of the week!
