Hello St. Boniface families:
I am delighted to be St. Boniface’s middle school ELA teacher and eighth grade homeroom teacher. St. Boniface School is a warm and welcoming place.
Teaching is a second career for me. I earned my undergraduate degree in journalism from UW-Madison. After years of working in publishing and editing, I realized I really wanted to work with children. So I started working as an aide in elementary schools in Germantown and Whitefish Bay and tutored older students in writing and language arts. Those experiences made me realize teaching was the right fit for me, so I entered Cardinal Stritch University’s master’s program in education. I was certified in January 2014 in grades 1-8 and earned my master's degree in January 2017.
So, in addition to my educational background, I bring a great deal of practical writing and language arts experience to my students. I am a devoted bibliophile who hopes to impart some of my enthusiasm for reading, vocabulary, writing, and even grammar to my students.
I’m looking forward to getting to know your children and working with them. It’s going to be a great year!
