Sr. Delores is such a treasure to us here at St. Boniface! She has been teaching for more than 55 years and loves her work with young people. So much in fact, that she retired in 2013 and continues to teach religion to our middle school students as a VOLUNTEER! Sr. Delores is a graduate of St. Boniface School herself - a true testament that life brings you full circle. She is from the order of The Sisters of St. Francis of Assissi, also known as "Lake Franciscans."
You will never find Sister sitting idle...she is our very own Energizer Bunny! She opens up the building in the early morning, prepares things for Sunday masses in Boniface Hall, locks the building down at the end of the day, and she does the early morning car drop off patrol every day come snow, wind, hail, or rain! And that's just for starters.
In her free time, Sister enjoys gardening and yard work. She loves watching the miracle of life as tiny seeds grow into big plants. If you have a gardening question, ask Sister! Sr. Delores also enjoys reading and playing Sheepshead with friends on Sunday afternoons.
